CHVBC held its second free volleyball clinic of the year on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Players from six different schools attended with NINE players representing Horace Mann! Players received instruction from current Cherry Hill East Cougars Jamie DiVito, Emily Kelly and Benaiah Hand. The CHVBC coaching staff was also on hand to teach the game, including former All-State players Karen Martin, Carolyn Mooney and Jeff Mooney.
The athletes came from a variety of different age groups and ability level. Our youngest player, Aiden Donahue, hit the court as a 1st grader from Horace Mann while our most experienced player, Trang Nguyen-Christensen, already plays club volleyball for Delaware Volleyball Academy. All of the players brought a ton of energy to the court and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone again soon. This clinic focused on volleyball fundamentals, but our next clinic will open up the floor to some live 4-on-4 play.
