CHVBC 16 Spartans Win Gold in 17s Division

CHVBC 16 Spartans took home 1st place in their first single day tournament of the season! Playing up in the 17s division, the team went 2-1 in pool play with wins over AVVC 17 White and OCVBC 17 Red. In the semifinals, they squared off against CHVBC 17 Vortex who were a perfect 3-0 in pool play. Spartans came out on top 15-12 in the deciding set of a closely contested match.

On the other side of the gold bracket, CHVBC 16 Avalanche won in straight sets over VB Rags 17 Yaidy to set up an All-CHVBC final. Spartans came out on top in the final with a 2-0 win over Avalanche to secure gold. Congratulations to all three CHVBC teams for making the gold bracket!

CHVBC Advances in GEVA Power League

CHVBC 17 Tsunami won two matches in pool play setting up a crossover match with PVA. After dropping the first set 28-30, the team responded with a 25-17 win in set 2 and closed the match out 15-10 in the deciding set. Tsunami will move up 2 flights in the GEVA Power League for their efforts.

CHVBC 15 Heat and 15 Devils will also be moving up after winning their crossover matches over CJVA and SOSVBC respectively. CHVBC 14 Sparks picked up a crossover win against CJVA to round out the weekend.

CHVBC is the only South Jersey club represented in the GEVA Power League this year, qualifying four teams in 2019. Congrats to the girls on a great day of volleyball!

CHVBC Starts 2019 with Wins in AC

In their first tournament of 2019, CHVBC headed to Atlantic City for the inaugural AC Challenge and posted a 29-9 overall record as a club!  13 White went a perfect 6-0 on the weekend and took home gold in the 13U Division.  14 Novas won gold in the 14U Division with a win over 13 Fusion in an All-CHVBC final.

Scott Mooney Recognized for Contribution to Athlete Mentorship Program

CHVBC Club Director Scott Mooney was recognized by the University of Pennsylvania for his contribution to the Penn Athlete mentorship Program.  He began working with the program in 2012 and has served as a mentor for two athletes on the Penn Women’s Volleyball Team.  Click here to read more about his experience in the program and meet the student athletes he has helped prepare for life after college.

CHVBC 18s Are Heading to California for USA Nationals!!!

CHVBC 18 Nitro are the first team high school team in South Jersey history to qualify for USA Nationals!!! The team will travel to Anaheim, CA at the end of April to compete with the best teams in the country.

Nitro entered the Northeast Qualifier as the #35 overall seed out of a field of 79 teams.  On day 1, the team posted straight set wins over DVA, A5 and Horshoe VBC to come out at the top of the pool.  The team picked up two close 2-1 wins over Delaware United and CT Juniors  on day 2 before sealing another first place pool finish with a 2-0 win over ECC.

On the final day, Nitro cruised to 2-0 wins over Valley Jrs. and a pair of OT teams from Florida to reach the finals.  Their win over OT 18 South put them in the gold medal match and sealed their bid to USA Nationals. We are so proud of the team and Coach Kevin on this tremendous accomplishment. Congratulations on making history!

CHVBC 13s Repeat with Qualification for USA Nationals!!!

CHVBC 13 Chargers qualified for USAV Nationals for the second straight year!!! The girls travel to Detroit at the end of June to compete with the best teams in the country.

The Chargers finished the Regional Bid Tournament tied with Legacy Volleyball Club.  This put the team in a one match playoff for the bid to Nationals.  After splitting the first two sets, the Chargers and Legacy played a tight 3rd set.   The match came down to the final points before strong serving by the Chargers helped them pull out the win and sealed their bid to USA Nationals. We are so proud of the team and Coach Robin on this tremendous accomplishment. Congratulations on making history…again!

Two Teams, Same Result: CHVBC 13 Chargers & 13 Servivors Both Win Gold

Saturday was a big day for CHVBC’s 13U teams as each team took home 1st place in their respective tournaments.  Holding tradition, both teams refuse to smile so I don’t have a good picture for the website…

Congratulations to the girls on both teams for a great day of volleyball!!!

CHVBC 12s Finish 1st at Princeton

The CHVBC 12s came out first at Princeton’s 12U tournament on Saturday.  Congratulations on a great day of volleyball!

CHVBC 16 Rampage Finish 3rd at Capitol Classic

CHVBC 16 Rampage were red-hot in DC as the team won 8 straight matches and made it to the semifinal of the 64 team field!  The team started out with wins over WVC, VAVA and P3R to move to the top half of the bracket.  Day 2 featured more of the same as the team topped Alexandria Titans, MOCO and C.A.V.E to earn a spot in the Gold Bracket.

The final day started with a 2-0 Rampage win against Cut Shot in the Round of 16.  Rampage picked up another 2-0 win over MD Jrs and earned a place in the semifinals.  In the semis, they lost their first match of the tournament to Team Detroit and finished with an 8-1 record in tournament play.  Congratulations on a great weekend of volleyball and bronze medal finish!
