Mission
Our volleyball club is dedicated to the following goals:

(1) To develop volleyball fundamentals and an understanding of team strategy
(2) To prepare our athletes for competition at the club, high school and collegiate level
(3) To educate our athletes on fitness and nutritional techniques for sports and life

We want our players to have the opportunity to find friendship and a passion for athletics through volleyball. We want them to understand the benefits of competition and learn how to achieve goals through teamwork, dedication and pursuit of a common goal.

Coaching Philosophy

  • We have developed a coaching philosophy that emphasizes fundamentals through high repetition drills. All players, regardless of position, are expected to execute the skills of ball control, defense and hitting.
  • We believe that players can only improve if they are given the opportunity to play in matches.
  • We teach college level offensive and defensive systems based on the strengths of each team.
  • We believe that in order to achieve their maximum potential, players must improve their physical strength through plyometric exercises, strength training and proper nutrition. This improvement will be measured and tracked in a quantifiable manner.
  • We perform extensive self scouting and statistical analysis, using the information to identify potential areas of improvement.

Hi Deidra, we don’t have a free clinic before our Fall Program, but your daughter is welcome to join us for a night to check it out. The first practice is on Tuesday 9/13. Hope she can make it!

What are the ages for the middle grade school program? My daughter is in 7th grade and desperately wants to play volleyball besides at the CYO level.
Thank you

Hi Kevin, we have teams in the 12U (Grade 6), 13U (Grade 7) and 14U (Grade 8) age divisions. Our youth program runs all fall on Tuesdays and Thursdays if your daughter wants to come check it out prior to club tryouts. Hope she can make it!

Hi my daughter is 10 & interested in learning more about volleyball. She has never played. Do you have any programs/clinics she can attend?

Our Fall/Winter/Spring youth programs are structured toward girls, but we do have a boys summer program starting in July. All of our Summer programs are open to 10th grade students. The youth programs are set up for Grade 9 & Under. Hope this helps!

I had checked you guys out for my daughter last year but the practice times were too late for her (she is now 7). So a little older and still very interested in learning to play volleyball. What times will practices be this summer? Any idea yet? Thanks so much!!

Scott, my daughter Maggie is interested in trying out for your team. She currently plays for Merion Mercy Academy in Phila. I assume there will be tryout dates for the 2019 season? We live in South Philly.
Thanks a lot

I’m happy to hear that your daughter is interested in our club! Yes, we will have tryout dates for 2019. Typically, they are held the first weekend of November. We plan to announce the dates by September 1st. We also have Open Gyms (TBD) if she wants to come out and meet some of the players and coaches. See you soon! – Scott

My daughter is in 1st grade and really wants to try volleyball. She has never played before. Is the winter program appropriate for her age and skill level?

Absolutely! She will definitely be on the younger side, but we have had players as young as 5 join our programs. We break the girls up by age and skill level so she’ll be mixed in with girls of similar ability. You are also welcome to check one out first to see if it’s a good fit. Hope she can make it!

Hi Katie,
I was also thinking of signing my first grader up for the Winter 1 session. I was wondering if you did sign up just so I know that there is another first grader there? Thanks!

Yes, it looks like we will have at least 3 girls in 1st Grade and a few other younger players. Of course we encourage them to have a friend sign up too. The more the merrier!

Hello. I’m thinking of registering my daughter to:

WINTER VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM – MOORESTOWN (2020)

Has the dates for this session decided yet? If not, approximately when do you think it will be announced? Thank you.

Hi, my daughter Kennedy is interested in playing volleyball. She is 10 and in the 5th grade. She is doing a clinic right now at XL Sports. Are there any teams that she could play for? I can not seem to find any locally. We live in Delran? Could you contact me with information on where yo look and how to start her on a team? She is a beginner. She is athletic. She has played soccer got years.

Hello, my daughter wants to tryout for volleyball. Is there any spring or summer tryouts, where they play games against other teams?

Our summer instructional programs do not include matches. We do have a fall league that includes matches against other local team for players in Grade 8 & Below. Then, we will have club tryouts in October/November for our club travel teams. Those teams travel to local, regional and national tournaments.

I hope this helps!

Good Morning,

My daughter is looking to try out in the summer for the Highschool Team at Lenape. She has been in clinics since November at XL Sports but they are now over. I would like her to continue through the summer so she doesn’t lose what she has learned. Please let me know what you have available.

Our Youth Programs are instructional programs that are set up in a group environment. The players learn basic skills and play small group games. They are a great fit for new players learning the sport.

Hi Scott,
My son will be a freshman at Cherokee in September. There doesn’t seem to be any volleyball clubs for boys. Do you know of any in the area?
Thank you!

Right now, we are not holding any programs for boys. However, there are club volleyball opportunities with South Jersey Volleyball Club. I believe they have both skills training and travel teams. Here is their contact info:

Tom Armour

Quandomania also has boys programs if you want to take a look at their offerings.

I hope this helps!

Hello, this is Michelle Nguyen, and I wanted to sign my daughter up for the fall practice, where would I be able to do that?

My 11 year old wants to learn how to play volleyball. Is there a program that I can get her started in where she can learn the basics and feel comfortable because she has never played before?

Hi Sandi,

I would definitely recommend our Youth Programs. They are structured for new players who want to learn basics skills. We hold programs every season, so I’d recommend joining our email list and we’ll be in touch when the next program opens!

My daughter is 11 and has never played. She’s very much interested in trying. Do you have any clinics coming up anytime so she can try to see if it’s something for her?

Hi Jerrid,

Our next programs will be our Winter Youth Programs. Registration opens in November. They fill up fast, so I’d recommend joining our email list and signing up early. I hope this helps!
